About Mizen Construction

Launched by Mark and Ciaran in 2014, Mizen Construction is a high-end residential building company serving the Bay Area.  We specialize in full home remodels, from foundations to finishes.  We pride ourselves in providing superior communication, quality, and timeliness; while building a project centered on our clients’ budget.

From day one, we work with our clients and their designers to help them understand the build process; and what exactly they are receiving for their budget. With over 20 years experience building in the Bay Area, our company has built strong, reliable relationships with all our tradesmen and subcontractors. This provides us the ability with our projects to ensure quality, timeliness, and cohesiveness across the board.

Foundations & seismic retrofitting

We have the capability and experience to handle any concrete and seismic retrofitting work. From footings to shear walls, we can construct your project to any specifications your engineer and architect need.

Shoring & framing

Our crews have extensive experience in all wood and steel framing techniques and standards. From mud sills to rafters, we can build it ground up.

Mechanical trades

With over 20 years building in the Bay Area; Mizen has built a strong, competent network of skilled licensed trades. From hydronic floor heating to custom aluminum roofing, we’ve got you covered.

Windows, exterior siding, decks, fences & stairs

With our own in-house scaffolding operation, we can tackle even the most daunting siding job. From sheathing, to vapor barriers, to finished & trimmed out siding we got you wrapped.

Insulation, drywall, & plastering

We have the experience and skills to provide superior installation of all types of insulation and subsequent wall finishing. We take it from top-tier insulation installation to a level 5 drywall finish - no problem.

Interior finishes

The pieces that bring the whole project together. From custom tile and stonework to specialty cabinets to closet interiors; we’ve got the finishes to your project organized and looking clean.

This involved everything from foundation and seismic work to full demolition and rebuilding of every aspect of the home.
